Installing the Avionics and Building a Tray
I am using Advanced Flight Systems for my avionics. Advanced built my panel that I received around May of 2024. The majority of the sling TSI's are using Garmin Avionics suite, and Midwest to do the installation. Because on my previous build, I used Dynon as my avionics suite, I decided to stay with that variant through Advanced Flight Systems. The only difference between advanced and Dynon is the AF 6600 EFIS and the Advanced Control Module (ACM). Everything else is Dynon including the radios, transponder, engine management system, ADSB, ADAHRS, etc.
During this process, I found myself needing to fabricate a tray to begin installing the avionics. The first item to be mounted is the ACM. This allows me to start pulling the wiring harness from the different areas including the tail section the wings the auto pilot, servos, control, sticks, etc.
