Flap assembly binding during rotation
After I had drilled up the flap assembly, I had tested the freedom of movement and was happy with it until I connected the actuation rod and tried to move the flap. I found the flap bound up almost immediately and after looking things over I realized the control rod was becoming jammed against the upper edge of the cutout in the spar web. The cutout in the spar was lower than the opening in the support structure for the flap actuation mechanism so I intend to trim out the "excess" from the spar web which will be about 1/8".
