Ordered Plans from Aircraft Spruce Australia today :)

The experience of buying plans with Aircraft Spruce Australia was mixed. I was given a price in AUD, got charged in USD. Then later on more charges came to me from UPS. This greatly increased the cost of the plans and made me wonder what use would it have for me to buy components and materials locally with Aircraft Spruce Australia? If this situation repeats for each purchase I make locally (with the purchase experience being the same as directly purchasing with Aircraft Spruce US) then what's the point?
