Replacing the tail post
a job so good i did it twice!
When I purchased the tubing kit from VR3 in Canada the plans I previewed showed the round stinger type tail spring attach fittings. however, the kit I received was for the older leaf spring. I contacted VR3 and they were amazing. re made all the parts that I needed and sent them all to me at no cost and quite quick. excellent company to deal with nothing but praise for their service and quality. so, moving on this means I have a tail post to replace and a new part to fit. now this is not that big of a job really because I had set it up for this to happen as I found the issues. once the new post was in, I welded the tail spring receiving tubes together, I used a piece of tube through the spring retaining hole to keep them aligned. I then inserted them into the fuselage.
