Review of Deutsche HDP20 sealing range

For Deutsche HDP20 24-47 fittings we are using modified E seals (the only E-seal choice available)

For Deutsche HDP20 24-35 fittings we are using normal E seals (the only E-seal choice available)

For Deutsche HDP20 24-33 fittings we are using N seals (E seals not available)

Size 20 contacts 16-22AWG

Allowed cable diameters

• 1.02-2.41mm for N, T and normal E seals
• 1.01-2.10mm for modified E seals

Thin walled tefzel M22759/18

• M22759/18-16 1.73-1.83mm
• M22759/18-18 1.50-1.60mm
• M22759/18-20 1.24-1.35mm
• M22759/18-22 1.04-1.14mm

• N, T and normal E seals: 16-22AWG ok
• modified E seals: 16-22AWG ok

Thick walled tefzel M22759/16

• M22759/16-16 1.96-2.06mm
• M22759/16-18 1.75-1.85mm
• M22759/16-20 1.47-1.57mm
• M22759/16-22 1.27-1.37mm

•  N, T and normal E seals: 16-22AWG ok
• modified E seals: 16-22AWG ok

So the HDP20 24-33 connector which has size 20 contacts only, used with thick and thin walled tefzel, can be chosed with the N option, which happens to be the only one available

Size 16 contacts 14-20AWG

Allowed cable diameters

• 2.54-3.40mm for N seals,
• 2.23-3.40mm for T seal,
• 2.24-2.69mm for modified T seal,
• 1.35-3.05mm for normal E seals.
• 1.35-2.62mm for modified E seals,

There are no size 16 contacts in the 24-33 connector above, so the N seal dimension range is not relevant

So the HDP20 18-8 connector which has size 12 contacts must be chosen in the E option (only used with thick walled tefzel)

If a cable is marked "not ok" some heat-shrink sheathing is required to bring it into range
