Mounting engine and some ancilliary components
Removed captive nut from the Rotax engine mount
Fitted replacement water pump adapter (straight) as supplied by Sling and torqued to 10nm after applying Loctite 243
Fitted the propeller governor, torqued to 15nm (KAI specifies 90nm which seems incorrect). Applied engine oil to gasket, fitted with text facing aft per KAI. Needed to remove the front small water pipe from the coolant tank to get space to access the bottom bolt, used a torx tool for final tightening
Fitted fusebox and starter solenoid, but left one nut on the solenoid loose for the earth cable to be fitted.
Trimmed engine mount bolts from 130mm to 122mm per the KAI, deburred, then applied copperslip to the bolt shanks
Mounted the engine using a hydraulic hoist and a bit of help from my wife, it went on easily. Still to torque the bolts to 38nm per the maintenance manual, my torque wrench only handles 25nm
